Artist's Statement:
During my spent years riding and watching dressage, I always admired the exquisite beauty of the half pass. I would often position myself at one end of an arena, as opposed to the seating on the sides, so that I could get a great view of the bent horse and legs crossing over.

Kelli Swan
A native of Northern Ohio, Kelli obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Akron with Summa Cum Laude honors.  Her foremost artistic interest has always been the dramatic effect of monochromatic media.  Depicting a love and appreciation of animals, and a fascination with the automobile, her graphite drawings have been accepted into numerous juried art shows, winning several awards.

Kelli owns and operates Cygnet Graphics, Inc.  "Cygnet" is the Latin word for young swan.  It has become her business name as well as a pen name for her drawings.

Kelli has worked on a series of "horse in sport" drawings with the horse in a variety of historical and sports-related scenes, as well as a series of canine drawings illustrating various dog breeds.  Limited edition prints of many of her drawings are available.
